In addition, she writes feature articles for Her Campus Texas, a leading online magazine for college women, and contributes music reviews to The Venom Blog, an international music blog.
Music has become a huge part of her life, inspiring her to become involved in every facet of the Austin music scene and a frequent visitor of major festivals like South by Southwest and Austin City Limits. She contributed extensively to Longhorn Life's Fun Fun Fun Fest edition, covering the festival with interviews of participating artists, show reviews and an interview with the festival founder.
Alex is bilingual, working towards a minor in Portuguese. She has traveled extensively, living abroad in Paris, France and spending most of her high school years living in paradise in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
After completing her master's degree in journalism, she hopes to move to New York City to pursue a career in the magazine industry and one day get paid to travel and write - or so she can dream.
When she's not writing, she's listening to her favorite albums, catching a live show, exploring Austin or dreaming up the next place she will travel to.
